Holly Kurtz, NP

Nurse Practitioner
Holly Kurtz is a family nurse practitioner with strong experience in emergency department, pre-op and cardiac nursing. For more than 15 years, Holly has provided nursing care for adults and children in the metro Denver area. Her philosophy is to work collaboratively with every patient to make health care decisions, which she believes supports the likelihood of treatment success. Most recently, Holly worked as a cardiac advanced practice nurse at Rose Medical Center, working to care for patients with heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, and heart attacks. In fact, she earned the Cardiology Nurse of the Year Award in 2015 from the hospital. Holly served as the chest pain coordinator responsible for the hospital’s chest pain accreditation, and she was responsible for pre- and post-op care of arrhythmia patients and procedural patients. Prior, Holly worked for six years as an emergency department RN at Swedish Medical Center, where she provided care for adult and pediatric acute patients. She also cared for patients who suffered bariatric surgery complications. Board-certified as an advance practice nurse, Holly graduated Regis University with a bachelor of science in nursing (Magna Cum Laude) and a master of science in the family nurse practitioner program (Cum Laude).
Care Philosophy

Collaborative decision-making regarding a patient’s care. She believes that involving the patient in their own care helps the patient own their health and increases the likelihood they will adhere to the care plan we’ve both agreed upon.
